At Advanced Cardiovascular Care, we provide comprehensive, consultant-led cardiology services for patients with suspected or confirmed heart conditions. We welcome referrals from GPs and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely diagnosis, expert management, and optimal patient outcomes
When to refer to a cardiologist?
We recommend referring patients for cardiology evaluation if they present with:
- Chest pain or discomfort – Suspected angina, atypical symptoms, or exertional discomfort
- Shortness of breath – Unexplained dyspnea, heart failure assessment
- Palpitations or arrhythmias – Irregular heartbeat, suspected atrial fibrillation, or tachycardia
- Hypertension – Difficult-to-control high blood pressure or secondary hypertension concerns
- Heart murmurs – Suspected valvular disease requiring echocardiographic assessment
- Dizziness or syncope – Unexplained fainting episodes, possible cardiac-related causes
- Raised cardiovascular risk – Family history of heart disease, lipid disorders, or metabolic syndrome
If unsure whether a referral is needed, we offer GP-to-consultant advice for quick guidance. GP information and support can be provided at any time.
